Rod’s Personal Page

My name is Rod Winning and I’ve been in the Recognition, Awards and Promotional Pr oducts industry since 1997.   Networking is the number one way to build a business and I’m sure you know that real networking means meeting people and determining how you can help them.  Chances are when you help others, they will try to help you. My networking abilities have really helped to build my business.

Photography has always been a hobby and now I’ve actually entered into a few Photo Contests.   Natures Trust BC   and South Delta Leader.  Haven’t won anything yet but it’s just a rush to enter and then to go and see your pictures online somewhere.   I have pictures on the Ladner Business Association website www.ladnerbusiness.com.

I have shown my flickr account on another page but the contest is Natures Trust BC  and the gallery is on   http://www.flickr.com/photos/naturetrustofbc/ my tag name is    winningways.      South Delta Leader has a great interactive website  www.southdeltaleader.com they are in the Black Press Group.   SDL is truly community minded and put out a good quality information packed weekly paper.

Link to my Flickr photostream  http://www.flickr.com/photos/29588817@N07/ and see some of my watercolour paintings and also see some of the photo’s I’ve entered in the Natures Trust Photo Contest.  After you check out my photos you can go to groups and look through the fantastic pictures in Natures Trust  and Watercolour Artists on N. America

We live in Ladner, South of Vancouver.  Ladner is a community in Delta BC located on the Fraser River just south of the Deas-Massey Tunnel. A unique community that has maintained it’s heritage flavour. Take a look at the photo file on the Ladner Business Association website.      http://ladnerbusiness.com

May 2011 – During a trip to New York, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and back. It took about 40 minutes to walk across the pedestrian/bicycle wooden slatted path above the 3 lanes of traffic each direction. Breathtaking and different views while crossing the bridge including the pylons and cables of the bridge itself. I put this up with the walk through Machu Pichu.
